The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation issued the Air Quality Health Advisory for fine particulates in the air. According to officials, the air quality levels in the outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index (AQI) value of 100 for Fine Particulates. People who may be sensitive to elevated levels of pollutants include the children and those with respiratory problems, such as asthma or heart disease. Those experiencing symptoms of respiratory issues should consult their primary care provider.
