BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The teen accused of shooting and killing Broadmoor High senior student Kyle “KJ” Earthly Jr. has pleaded not guilty.
According to officials, Jeremiah Howze,18, pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder, handling a machine gun, and obstruction of justice during his arraignment on Monday, May 12.

Howze was indicted earlier this month after being arrested in January for Earthly’s shooting death on O’Neal Lane in December of 2024.
