The Edinburgh Police Department is seeking tips on a shooting after a party that occurred early Saturday morning.

Police responded to a call regarding a person shot in a vehicle in the 1100 block of East Main Cross Street at approximately 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Upon arrival, officers found an 18-year-old male suffering from a gunshot to the head, according to a news release from Edinburgh police.

The male was transported to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, where he was treated for his injury and has since been released, the release says.

The male had been attending a party in the Edinburgh area when a fight broke out. The male got into his car to leave, and he was shot while driving his car away from the residence. No one else was injured, and the suspects fled the area, the release say
