Meteorologist James Tomasini with the National Weather Service said the high-pressure system that’s been granting the region glorious, sunny and dry spring days is sliding east.
Meanwhile, a slow-moving low-pressure system is approaching New York City from the southwest, bringing cloudy conditions with chances for showers though the end of the week, according to Tomasini.
“It looks like as of right now the most likely period for any showers would be overnight Tuesday and through the day Wednesday,” he said. “Just be prepared for wet conditions if you're out and about this week.”
