More than a third of the NFL's teams will play overseas during the 2025 football season. When the Los Angeles Chargers' opponent in São Paulo, Brazil, is announced on Wednesday, that will likely rise to two of every five teams.

Just a year ago, Brazil hosted its first NFL game as part of its expansion around the world. The upcoming season with seven games in five countries offers a few firsts, too:

Minnesota Vikings, the only team to play two international games this year, will become the first NFL team to play in two countries outside the U.S. in the same season: Ireland on Sept. 28 (Week 4) and England on Oct. 5.

Two new countries: Ireland and Spain will host their first regular-season NFL games. The Pittsburgh Steelers will face the Vikings in the same stadium – Dublin's Croke Park – where the Steelers played an exhibition game nearly three decades ago.

YouTube will exclusively stream an NFL game free and in its entirety for the first time on Sept. 5.
