EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — An Evansville man has been charged after authorities say they found a starving dog that had no access to food.

Back on May 2, officers were called to help Animal Control remove a dog from a residence on Maxwell Avenue.

Police say they arrived at the home, where an emaciated dog was found.

EPD says officers could see the dog's ribs, and that its stomach was sunk into the point where you could see the bottom of the rib cage. They say bones in the dog's back were also visible.

There was also said to be another dog in the yard, but it hadn't been seen in weeks. Offic
