The Troup County Tigers and Cherokee Bluff Bears needed a third game to determine the Class 3A state champion after a 5-1 Tigers victory in Game 1 and a commanding 15-0 win for the Bears in Game 2.

Davis Moncus got the start for the Tigers in Game 3 and he was greeted by the Bears with a three-run first inning as Ethan England and Kaden Thompson both had runs batted in, while the other run was from a wild pitch that allowed Landon Kemp to score.

Troup got two of those runs back in the bottom of the first from RBIs by Carson Walker and Fisher Baltzell. Moncus scored on the triple by Baltzell which made the score 3-2 Cherokee Bluff.
