Having just tied the game at 1-1 early in the third period, after outplaying Laval for a good chunk of the first two periods, the Rochester Amerks were in position to win Game 3 of the North Division finals against Laval Wednesday night.

Instead, the Rocket responded with two goals in the span of 65 seconds, then tacked on another midway through the third and went on to a 4-1 victory and a two games to one lead in the series.

“I actually really liked our game,” Amerks coach Michael Leone said. “I thought it wasn’t a 4-1 hockey game, credit to them, they made a few more plays, but if we play like that, I like our team.
