NEW MADRID COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - New Madrid County Sheriff Joey Higgerson says his officers arrested a man who possessed more than four pounds of methamphetamine.
Sheriff Higgerson says Craig Perkins, 54, was arrested after law enforcement searched Perkins’ home in Howardville on May 21.
Officers say they found 1,933 grams of meth in the home. That much meth could be worth approximately $40,000.
Sheriff Higgerson says cooperation was key to making the arrest.
“A case like this takes a lot of planning and teamwork, and we are happy to work with our local partners at the SEMO Drug Task Force and the Missouri State Highway Patrol to get drugs off the streets of New Madrid County,” he explained.
Perkins is charged with drug trafficking.
