DES MOINES, Iowa —

In her first local TV interview since the end of the 2025 legislative session, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds sat down Thursday with KCCI chief political reporter Amanda Rooker.

In the wide-ranging discussion, Reynolds talks about her plan to add Medicaid work requirements and whether or not she'll sign bills that limit the use of eminent domain for pipeline projects and cut 911 funding.

We also discuss Reynolds' new summer feeding program and what's next for her after she announced she's not seeking a third term as governor.

During the 2025 legislative session, state lawmakers passed a bill that would require many Medicaid recipients to meet new work requirements in order to maintain their health care coverage.
