OCEAN CITY — It’s time to move forward on plans for a new $6 million building for the Ocean City Airport, City Council member Terry Crowley said at the most recent meeting.

The new building, to include space for a new restaurant, a lounge for pilots, meeting space, a new pro shop for the city’s golf course and more, has been under discussion for years. It was included in the city’s approved capital plan, and a resident has offered to help pay for the work.

Leon Grisbaum, the longtime owner of Berger Realty, pledged $3 million toward the project, with the building to be named after himself and his late wife, Elizabeth Grisbaum. He was at the airport in October for a groundbreaking ceremony.
