CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Good evening, periods of showers and storms have been moving across the Heartland. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with lows in the 50s and a chance for rain continuing. Planning for Memorial Day tomorrow, it looks a little on the soggy side, mainly during the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms will work in from the west in the morning and continue to the east. Some areas could see close to 2 inches of rainfall by Tuesday. Localized flooding is a concern tonight through tomorrow.

An isolated shower will remain possible through Tuesday. Wednesday through Friday will bring some sunshine with temperatures back in the mid 70s. There is potential for showers late Thursday into Saturday, but the timing and amount are still unclear.
