At least 11 people were hospitalized following a shooting in Little River, South Carolina, on Sunday night. The Horry County Police Department reported that the incident occurred on Watson Avenue, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.

Authorities indicated that additional victims may have arrived at local hospitals in private vehicles, suggesting the total number of injured could be higher. The conditions of those hospitalized have not been disclosed.

In a separate incident related to the shooting, a North Myrtle Beach police officer was injured when his firearm accidentally discharged. The officer sustained a leg wound and was stabilized at a local hospital.
