CALICO ROCK, Ark. — Grant Hardin, a 56-year-old inmate and former police chief, is on the run after escaping the North Central Unit in Calico Rock on Sunday, May 25, according to the Arkansas Department of Corrections (ADC).

On May 29, the FBI announced a $10,000 reward for any information that leads to Hardin's arrest. The next day, that reward was doubled to $20,000, with an additional $5,000 reward offered by the U.S. Marshals.

Arkansas State Police and ADC reported that Hardin escaped through the sally port of the prison wearing what appeared to be an officer uniform at around 2:55 p.m.

"The original estimate that we gave was 3:40 p.m., but once we're able to sit down and look at the surveillance video, it was confirmed that it was approximately 2:55 p.m. when he escaped," Rand C
