What started as a routine fitness video quickly turned into a life-saving mission when Lexi, a TikTok shop affiliate, set up her camera in her at-home gym — and heard a tiny meow that would change everything.

“I missed the first one, but when I heard the second meow, I just knew the mom wasn’t there anymore,” Lexi tells PEOPLE. “We had just found a female cat dead outside, and immediately the dots connected and I panicked because I knew it had been over two days.”
