NEW JERSEY (PIX11) -- The weekend forecast didn't exactly scream "kickoff to summer."

“The start, I hope it gets warmer,” said Madison as she was walking on the Asbury Park boardwalk.

But this Memorial Day came with good weather, following some days that did not feel like the unofficial start of the summer.

“It was freezing just last week,” said Mady Bradevry.

“Good family time for Memorial Day,” added another visitor.

They say it's perfect weather for beach volleyball, a soccer match, a jog, or just a boardwalk.

“I’ve just been walking up and down the boardwalk, just getting a nice feel with the breeze,” said Kentrell Gaullden.

Not many people went in the water, but there were a few brave ones.
