Two inmates who broke out of a Louisiana jail earlier this month were captured in Huntsville after leading officers on a high-speed chase through the area.
Authorities say Leo Tate and Jermaine Donald were spotted on May 26, just 10 days after they escaped from the Orleans Parish jail in New Orleans.
The pair, part of a group of 10 inmates who managed to break out in a daring May 16 jailbreak, were finally stopped near U.S. 190 and Geneva.
Law enforcement officials say the men pulled off their escape by yanking open a faulty cell door, squeezing through a hole behind a toilet, and scaling a barbed-wire fence under the cover of darkness.
The Huntsville Police Department, along with several other agencies, tracked the men down and arrested them after a high-speed chase through Walker Cou
