CARLSBAD, Calif. (TTU) - The No. 24 Texas Tech men’s golf team finished 10th at the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championships, its fourth Top 10 finish in the Greg Sands era and sixth in program history. Having advanced to the final round of stroke play on Monday, the Red Raiders shot 2-over-par 290, falling three strokes short of the Top 8 teams who will move on to Tuesday’s Match Play quarterfinals.
Among the 15 teams who qualified for Monday’s fourth round, the Red Raiders shot the eighth-lowest score (+2) and were not able to make the leap as it did on the leaderboard after Sunday’s round to advance to see another day. Texas Tech’s valiant round three effort, the lowest score shot in round three, moved it from 19th and into a tie for eighth after 54 holes.
