AUSTIN, Texas — Gov. Greg Abbott signed legislation named after a Livingston 11-year-old who was abducted and killed early last year.

"Audrii's Law" closes a legal loophole that allowed some people to stay off the sex offender registry. It's named after Audrii Cunningham, who was reported missing in February 2024. Her body was later found in the Trinity River.
