ESPN’s First Take spent time on Tuesday morning discussing who the face of the NBA is. Kendrick Perkins argued against Anthony Edwards , just hours after the Minnesota Timberwolves went down 3-1 in the Western Conference Finals to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Others have argued in favor of OKC’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with his team one win away from the NBA Finals and recent MVP.

Charles Barkley is not too big a fan of those debates, calling out ESPN on the matter. He does not want the Worldwide Leader to “make” Edwards the NBA’s face instead of attempting to “take” the distinction. Barkley gave props to Gilgeous-Alexander along with two other international superstars.
