PORTSMOUTH - Senior Gar Hindle has delivered in some big moments this season for the Portsmouth High School baseball team.

And that continued on Memorial Day in a Division I game against Timberlane.

Hindle laced a two-run double to right center to tie the game 8-8 in the fifth inning, and teammate Devin Driscoll's RBI single lifted Portsmouth to a 9-8 win .

Hindle had three hits, including a home run, in the game. He drove in three, and scored three runs as Portsmouth improved to 10-6. He was named Monday's Seacoast Standout.

"Gar set the tone for us from the very start," Portsmouth head coach Tim Hopley said. "He was locked in, had a great swing in his first at bat and then carried it through the game keeping us up mentally and giving us a chance late."
