Eight area high school softball teams set to play for state

Eight area high school softball teams will try to punch their tickets to upcoming state tournaments with SoDak 16 stae-qualifying playoff wins on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

SoDak 16 pairings have been finalized for Class AA, A and B teams . All times listed below are Central.

Winners advance to state tournaments June 5-7 at Augustana University's Bowden Field in Sioux Falls (Class AA) and the Players Softball Complex in Aberdeen (Class A and B).

No. 16 Spearfish (2-14) at No. 1 Sioux Falls Lincoln (18-2), 3 p.m.

No. 9 Sturgis (8-10) at No. 8 Sioux Falls Roosevelt (8-10), 5 p.m.

No. 15 Pierre (4-16) at No. 2 Harrisburg (16-2), 5 p.m.

No. 10 O'Gorman (6-10) at No. 7 Brookings (11-7), 5 p.m.
