ALBANY – The New York State Troopers PBA has filed an Article 78 proceeding in State Supreme Court in Albany on behalf of former Trooper Jaime Kasper seeking to get her job back at the Troop F Kingston barracks.
Kasper, an eight-year member of the force, was fired on the grounds that she had illicit drugs in her system when she was administered a test, said PBA President Charles Murphy.
“Subsequently later, there is another drug test and a hair sample, which is a better, more accurate test, which showed no drug at all in her system and no long-term use of drugs in her system, and we believe it was linked to dietary supplements which are unregulated that she did consume,” he said.
The Division of State Police is challenging that assertion.
