PADUCAH, Ky. (KFVS) - Police say a Georgia man pulled over for speeding on Interstate 24 near Paducah had a large amount of drugs in his vehicle.

Marques Reed was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, first-degree trafficking in controlled substances (cocaine) and trafficking marijuana in addition to the speeding violation.

He was taken to the McCracken County Jail where he’s being held on a $10,000 cash bond.

According to Paducah police, an officer saw a black Nissan Altima speeding on I-24 east near mile marker 2 around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27.

The officer stopped the car near exit 4.

While talking with the driver, identified as Reed, the officer smelled marijuana.
