INDIANAPOLIS – A man is recovering from gunshot wounds received while driving on I-465 southbound near I-70 on the east side of Indianapolis last Thursday. May 22, 2025, at approximately 6:00 a.m. Indiana State Troopers responded to the aftermath of an interstate shooting.

The victim was inside a vehicle stopped on the ramp from I-465 southbound to I-70. The Indianapolis Fire Department and EMS responded to the scene to treat the victim for apparent gunshot wounds, which were determined to be non-life-threatening. The victim was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

Indiana State Police Detectives responded to the scene to gather information, review evidence, and speak with the victim. Preliminary investigation determined that the driver of a maroon Chevrolet Silverado engaged
