Shawn Kemp got into a sticky situation in March 2023, which resulted in him allegedly firing a gun at two men in a vehicle. The former NBA star has pleaded guilty to second-degree assault , per an offer from the state that will yield a much shorter sentence than if he’d gone any other route.

The 55-year-old former hooper was initially charged with first-degree assault with a firearm enhancement, but prosecutors added another count of assault and a drive-by shooting charge last week. The Pierce County Superior Court presented him with a plea agreement in conjunction with the county Prosecuting Attorney’s office.
