CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — For the first time in over 100 years, the UNC men's basketball team won't host NC State for a game in Chapel Hill in 2025-26.
According to 247Sports and Inside Carolina , the Tar Heels and Wolfpack will only meet once this upcoming season at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh. This comes after the Atlantic Coast Conference recently announced it was adopting a new scheduling model going forward.
The last time UNC and NC State didn't play a game in Chapel Hill was way back in 1919. The Tar Heels have won 168 of the 247 meetings with the Wolfpack since the two began facing each other in men's basketball.
According to Inside Carolina, UNC won't play Boston College at all during the 2025-26 season. The Tar Heels and Eagles have played every season since Boston College joined
