NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The Metro Public Health Department (MPHD) has reported the presence of West Nile Virus in a mosquito pool collected in Madison, Tennessee, on Neelys Bend Road.

This is the first detection of West Nile Virus this year in Tennessee, following a high level of West Nile Virus in mosquito pools collected in the state in 2024. There have been no human cases of West Nile Virus reported so far this year.
