Good morning Gang Green Nation! ESPN’s Bob Solak is predicting Garrett Wilson will lead the NFL in receiving yards this season. It’s a fun prediction for Jets fans, but it is wildly unlikely. Leading the NFL in receiving yards these days usually takes roughly 1700+ yards in any given season. Only once in the last seven seasons has the leading receiver posted less than 1677 yards. Let’s assume the 2025 leader will need at least 1700 yards. The Jets are likely to be a run heavy team, led by Justin Fields. Fields has never passed for more than 2562 yards in any season, but let’s be generous and give the Jets 3200 yards passing in 2025. That’s probably too high, but let’s go with it. In that case a 1700 yard season by Wilson would account for 53% of the Jets’ passing yards for the season.
