LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. — If it feels like you’ve been hearing more about pedestrian and bike crashes in Loudoun County lately, you’re not imagining things.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) has issued a safety alert following a staggering 70.8% increase in crashes involving pedestrians, bicyclists and scooter riders so far this year. As of now, 41 people have been hit while navigating Loudoun roadways, which is nearly double the number at this time last year.

From neighborhood streets to busy intersections, the Sheriff’s Office is urging everyone to take safety seriously.
