COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- The first set of kickoff times for Ohio State's football season have been announced.
Each of the Buckeyes' three nonconference games now have start times and broadcast assignments. The defending national champions will open at Ohio Stadium against Texas at noon on Aug. 30 in a rematch of last year's Cotton Bowl semifinal in what should be a top 10 meeting.
The start time comes after an Ohio lawmaker proposed a $10 million fine if any top 10 Ohio State home game started at noon.
The three-game nonconference homestand continues on Sept. 6 when Grambling State visits for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff.
Ohio State will then try to maintain its over 100-year winning streak against in-state opponents when Ohio visits on Sept. 13. That game will kickoff at 7 p.m. and be broadcas
