The town of Gilbert has received a clean bill of financial health following the completion of its fiscal year 2023-24 audit.

The results included three separate reports, all confirming the town’s strong financial standing and compliance with federal regulations.

The primary report, issued as part of Gilbert’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, resulted in an “unmodified opinion.”

According to the auditor, “That’s a clean opinion,” auditor Jim Rebenar from the accounting firm Heinfeld Meech said. “That means the financial statements are free of material misstatement and can be relied upon.”

In addition to the financial statement audit, Gilbert underwent a federally required single audit due to the level of federal funding it receives. This audit included a report on internal control
