SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Shreveport Police Department has arrested a woman for reportedly kicking her two young kids of the car and leaving them on the side of the road.

Police say the “troubling” incident happened Wednesday, May 28. Officers were first sent out to the 3400 block of Palm Road on a report about missing kids. When they got there, they talked with detectives from the Shreveport Police Juveniles Crimes Unit.

Detectives say Laquesha Washington, 33, was in some kind of verbal fight with her kids (ages 11 and 12). According to the kids, Washington forced them out of the car near the intersection of Broadway and Hollywood before driving away, leaving them alone.
