PORTLAND, Maine — Police arrested three young adults in connection with a December shooting incident where bullets had reportedly been fired at several Portland apartments, according to a news release from the Portland Police Department.

The shooting happened during the early hours of Dec. 26. Police responded to 139 Cumberland Ave. and found multiple damaged windows and bullet holes that had apparently been fired into the building, the department said.

Police believe more than a dozen rounds were fired during the incident. Shell casings were reportedly recovered in nearby Peppermint Park.

No injuries were reported.
