CARBONDALE, Ill. (KFVS) - A shots-fired investigation in Carbondale leads to the arrest of a teenager.
Officers were called just before 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 25 to the 700 block of North Billy Bryan Street to a report of shots fired.
This is on the northwest side of Carbondale, just southwest of Oakdale Park.
When they arrived, officers said they learned that a passenger or passengers in a car fired shots in the area and a home was hit several times by gunfire.
It’s not clear if anyone was inside the home at the time of the shooting, but no injuries were reported.
The car left the area before the officers arrived.
Detectives identified a 15-year-old Murphysboro boy as a suspect in the shooting and took him into custody on Wednesday.
The teen was taken to a juvenile detention facilit
