WEST FARGO — The drive-thru window at a West Fargo liquor store was broken overnight, and police were investigating the scene of the possible break-in Friday morning, May 30.

Police and staff were gathered outside Ace Beer and Liquors at 102 Main Ave. E. on Friday, where the window was broken out of the drive-thru.

An employee told WDAY that the owner and police were checking security cameras to see what happened.

The West Fargo Police Department did not immediately provide more information as the investigation began.

Open since 1963 under a variety of names, Ace Beer and Liquors is the metro area's only drive-thru liquor store and is housed in an iconic, circular building.

Owner Gary Peterson recently told The Forum "at least 70%" of customers use the drive-thru.
