A frontal system brings showers and a few thunderstorms Friday night into Saturday, but no flooding is expected. Behind it, drier and more seasonable air moves in for Sunday and Monday, bringing crisp, spring conditions. By midweek, a ridge of high pressure may take hold — setting the stage for a warm, summer-like pattern across the region.

Partly sunny and seasonable through the day across Eastern MA, with highs in the mid-70s and increasing southwest winds. Clouds thicken during the afternoon, and a few spot showers may develop after 3 p.m. A more organized round of rain arrives overnight, with patchy fog and a chance of rumbles
