BOSTON (WPRI) – Two concerts scheduled to take place at Boston's Fenway Park were abruptly canceled on Thursday due to "unforeseen circumstances," the venue announced.

Fenway Concerts canceled both shows — a Shakira concert on Thursday, and a show featuring Jason Aldean and Brooks & Dunn on Friday — only hours before the former was supposed to start. The company provided no specific reason for the cancellations.

"Refunds will be available at your point of purchase," Fenway Concerts wrote in a statement posted to its Instagram account. "We apologize for the inconvenience."

A spokesperson for Live Nation later revealed in a statement that a "structural" issue was found prior to the concert.
