An Army spouse who was found dead from a gunshot wound in March is now being investigated as a homicide, Killeen police announced on Thursday.
“On Friday, March 21, 2025, at approximately 10:07 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Bacon Ranch Rd in reference to a shooting victim. Upon arrival, officers discovered a female victim deceased from a gunshot wound,” according to a Killeen Police Department release. “The victim, Lucila Nair Nieva, was pronounced deceased at 11:02 p.m. by Justice of the Peace Nicola James. She ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwest Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.” ×
