The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) has allocated $28 million for media buys across all platform types, including social media influencers.
Metro awarded a nearly $2.4 million contract with San Diego-based Civilian Inc. to assist with media buys for the Los Angeles region.
Metro has released documents related to the contract under a California Public Records Act request after social media influencers were spotted riding several Metro rail lines, and at times alongside key Metro officials.
If you are an influencer with an excess of 100,000 followers, they are paying upwards of $12,000 for you to create content and share across your media platforms.
