WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Shakira, who was supposed to headline the WorldPride Welcome Concert at Nationals Park, will not be performing.

Her appearance as part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour was canceled late Friday, a day before the concert was to take place (May 31).

Nationals Park posted on X that the cancellation was the result of an issue with the Colombian singer's show in Boston. The concert, which was to take place at Fenway Park, had been canceled due to a structural concern at the venue.

The post explained that due to the complications in Boston, "Shakira's full tour production cannot be transported to Washington, D.C. in time for her scheuded performance at Nationals Park on Saturday, May 31."
