(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - The Trump Administration immediately appealed a federal court's decision blocking most of President Donald Trump's sweeping tariffs that includes the so-called "Liberation Day" tariffs Trump announced back in April.
Tariffs placed on China, Mexico, and Canada earlier this year are designed to combat fentanyl coming into the U.S.
It's a major legal blow to Trump's globe trade agenda and sets up an appeals process that could go all the way to the Supreme Court. Trump implemented the tariffs without Congress by invoking the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.
