BOWLING GREEN, Ky. —

Steve Lawson, the first of three men to stand trial in connection to the murder of Crystal Rogers, has been found guilty of all charges.

After just about two and a half hours of deliberating, a jury found Lawson guilty of conspiracy to murder and tampering with physical evidence tied to Rogers’ disappearance nearly a decade ago.

A jury has recommended 17 years in prison, with a formal sentencing set for Aug. 6 in Nelson County.

Lawson’s contentious trial started Monday in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Rogers, a mother of five, was reported missing in July 2015 from Bardstown, Kentucky. Her body has never been found.
