CANYON, Texas (KFDA) - West Texas A&M junior softball star, Emilee Boyer, added another accolade to her long list of achievements, being named the NFCA Player of the Year on Friday.

She is the second Lady Buff to take home this title. Shanna McBroom was the first WTAMU winner back in 2021.

She was named the D2CCA Ron Lenz Player of the Year just last week as well as both the Lone Star Conference Player and Pitcher of the Year during the season.

She finishes her junior year with a batting average of .470, notching 90 RBIs and leading the NCAA D2 players with 22 total home runs.

In the circle, she had an overall record of 28-4, ending with a 2.40 ERA and striking out 236 batters.

The Lady Buffs finished the 2024-25 season with a 56-8 overall record.
