AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Amarillo Sod Poodles hosted two Play Ball days, a free clinic for the kids 14 and under in the community to learn the game of baseball & softball from the players.

Partnering with High Country Chevy, over 500 kids split between the two days were out at Hodgetown to meet the players and have some fun in the sun.

“We were just out here with the kids this morning working on base running, hitting, throwing, all the things you know that got me to start playing baseball and just kind of get back to them," says Sod Poodles outfielder Caleb Roberts. “It’s so important especially at this age you know to start building those memories as a kid and I think this is what we all think about when we start playing the game is coming to camps, playing with your friends in the
