The Royals lost the first game of a three-game series 7-5 against the Detroit Tigers on Friday, May 30. Scoring got started early with both teams scoring runs in the first inning. The Tigers were able to manage four runs against starting pitcher Seth Lugo and claimed another three from the bullpen. The Royals five runs would not be enough to give them the win against the best team in baseball and division rival. Alongside the Major League Baseball at hand was the Big Slick Celebrity Softball Game. The ‘Yals face off against the Tigers for game two at Kauffman Stadium today at 3:10 p.m.
