By Robert Moore, El Paso Matters Superintendent Diana Sayavedra’s future with El Paso Independent School District will be on the line again Tuesday, when the school board is set to discuss a possible voluntary separation agreement and appointment of an interim superintendent. The meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday at the district’s administration building, 1014 N. Stanton St. The items for the special meeting were placed by board President Leah Hanany and Vice President Jack Loveridge, who have been critical of Sayavedra.
The meeting comes a week after a divided board met in closed session for three hours to discuss Sayavedra’s future, but adjourned without taking action. No board member explained a reason for removing Sayavedra at the meeting, but the board had previously voted 5-2
