Perry High School and the Chandler Unified School District are renaming the school’s entrance from Perry Puma Drive to Jalen Williams Way, honoring former Perry basketball standout and Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star guard Jalen Williams.

A street sign unveiling ceremony will take place at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, June 5, at the entrance of Perry High School.

Williams, a pivotal member of the Perry High School basketball program, left his mark on the court and in the community. During his time as a Puma, Williams led the team to a state semifinal appearance and earned all-region honors. He became a fan favorite.

After a successful collegiate career at Santa Clara University, Williams was drafted 12th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
