Where good news shines

Colorado Mesa University lacrosse's Caleb Schreiber was named the Peach Belt Conference/Rocky Mountain Division Academic Player of the Year.

Schreiber, a Thornton native, has a 4.00 grade-point average as a business administration major at Colorado Mesa. He was the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s Summit Award winner in 2024 as the student-athlete with the highest GPA at the league championship.

On the field, Schreiber played in all 17 Mavericks’ games as they won the Peach Belt Conference championship and appeared in the NCAA Division II lacrosse championship. He recorded 25 groundballs and eight caused turnovers during the season.
