A few showers and thunderstorms are possible, especially in our southwestern most counties this evening. We're not expecting them to be particularly widespread or strong . The primary hazards associated with these storms are heavy rainfall and lightning. The best window for thunderstorms will be from 8 pm Saturday to 1 am Sunday.

Wildfire smoke from Canada is expected to linger around mid-Missouri until Tuesday morning at the earliest. We expect the worst of the air quality to happen on Sunday, as the wave of rising motion causing thunderstorms Saturday night , has sinking motion behind it, which will bring some of that smoke to the surface.
